Annals of Avoidance

My
Dissent and discontent
Is so often felt
As irritant

Like a twilight mosquito
Biting in greed
Sucking vital droplet
Now free to breed

Been swatted, batted, even trounced
By those who deny me
Even an ounce
Of alleviating access

They so fear facing
The shame-based mess
Their generations buried
So deep in the nest

Annoying
Intolerable
Incalculable
Annals of avoidance
